The Client: PMU / MECE (FINAL CLIENT OST)

Scope of work: engineering, procurement, civil works, installation & commissioning of the 400/220/110 kv substation

The project was acquired by the temporary consortium association constituted by: Ansaldo T&D and Carlo Gavazzi Impianti.

Tirana 2 is the most important substation in Albania since connects strategically the Albanian grid to the European grid.
The substation (three voltage levels 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV) designed 100% with double bus bars, has a total of 24 bays, 2 threephases autotransformers 300 MVA 400/220 kV and 2 three-phases autotransformers 90/120 MVA.

The first 23 bays (5 bays x 400 kV + 11 bays x 220 kV + 7 bays x 110 kV) have been energized in July 2011 after 26 months from start of project.

The Client: "SOCIÉTÉ ALGÉRIENNE DE GESTION DU RÉSEAU DE TRANSPORT DE L’ELECTRICITÉ GRTE" (SONELGAZ)

Scope of Work: engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of: steel structures, high voltage equipment, protection & control systems, telecommunication & telecontrol systems.

Performance
The project is related to the extension of four electrical sub-stations located in Salah Bey, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Ramdane Djamel et Djelfa (east side of Algeria).

Carlo Gavazzi Impianti expertise and know-how in the field of High Voltage plants, will allow to perform the erection phase with the plants energized (400.000 Volts at Salah Bay) avoiding power shut-down and achieving the goal to complete the project in only 18 Months.

The Client: CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research)

New electrical MV/LV substation and related building for power distribution within CERN site in Prevessin (France).

Scope of work: Civil, HVAC and Electrical engineering; civil works, steel structures, HVAC equipment and materials, Emergency Diesel Generators, LV cables and electrical bulk materials. Erection and commissioning of engineered / supplied systems.

The Client: JRC ISPRA

Scope of work: Electrical and control systems maintenance; engineering, procurement, installation & commissioning for revamping of some sub systems.

Scope includes both radioactivity-free and contamineted buildings

The Client: SOGIN

New treatment system for radioactive liquid effluents for decommissioning works at Garigliano Nuclear Power Plants in Sessa Aurunca (CE), and dismantling of existing system. New building for installation of new equipment.

Scope of work: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C and special systems engineering; civil works, steel structures, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, I&C and special systems materials. Erection and commissioning of engineered / supplied systems. Demolition and dismantling works.

The Client: MARINA MILITARE / RIZZANI DE ECCHER

Electrical systems for the New Navy Station in Taranto. Main 150 kV substation, 8 kV substations 50 - 60 Hz, 400 V - 50 Hz and 460 V - 60 Hz (ship sockets located on mooring piers) distribution to users.

Scope of work: Engineering, Procurement and Construction of 150 kV AIS equipment, 150/8 kV transformers, 8 kV switchgears, 50/60 Hz rotating converters, MV/LV transformers, 400 and 460 V switchgears, Emergency Diesel Generators, UPS, cables, outdoor lighting, telephones, control system.

Restoring of HVAC, electrical, control and special systems of reactor building for decommissioning works at Garigliano Nuclear Power Plants in Sessa Aurunca (CE), and dismantling of existing systems.
